Team Christina – Pioneers in a movement

A group of strong-hearted individuals began a journey with the first Open Table group in Lynchburg, VA. With the primary qualification of caring for others, they have applied their skills and shared their relationships to achieve great things. The sister we serve, who is making the transition from incarceration, has shown character and determination in reaching several important goals. The team has facilitated a new place to live, a part time job where she can use her skills as a former nurse, daily transportation to her second part time job, helped reinstate her driver’s license and provided support through the early stages of reinstating child custody. There have been many challenges along the way and there are more to come, but the team has become a lasting family of friends.
